Medical Insurance

ASHP currently pays 82.50% of employee’s medical coverage and 50% of dependent premium coverage.

Dental Insurance

ASHP currently pays 100% of employee dental premiums and 50% of dependent premiums.

Other Insurances

Staff members receive Life Insurance, Accidental Death and Dismemberment, Short-term Disability, Long-term Disability, Travel Accident, Dependent Life. All paid 100% by ASHP.

401(k) Savings and Investment Plan

Staff members may contribute up to the IRS maximum in pre-tax and/or Roth post-tax contributions. Staff members age 50 or older are eligible to contribute an additional "catch-up" amount. ASHP matches up to 4% dollar for dollar.

ASHP Retirement Benefit Plan

Per the approval of the Board of Directors, staff receive retirement contributions based on percentages of their base compensation. This plan follows a vesting schedule.

Vacation Leave

Full time staff members earn 3 weeks of vacation during the first 5 years of employment. The accrual will increase to 4 weeks starting with the 61st month of employment.

Sick Leave

Full time staff members earn 12 days of leave per year.

Personal Leave

Full time staff members receive 24 hours of personal leave each January 1.

Flexible Spending

Staff members may set aside tax free dollars to pay for medical care expenses and dependent care expenses.

Transportation Assistance

Full-time non-exempt staff members receive up to $65 ($65 metro/$60 parking) per month for transportation expenses.

Staff members may set aside tax free dollars to pay for public transportation or monthly parking expenses.

Tuition Assistance

ASHP offers 50% reimbursement for college courses.

Certification Program Reimbursement

ASHP offers reimbursement for professional certification programs.

Staff members may take advantage of the open membership to ASHP employees at a local credit union.

Staff members are eligible for professional counseling for issues relating to drug alcohol abuse, stress management, parenting, family and marital issues, legal and financial problems.
